1) Complex monitoring and dynamics assessment of urban/periurban vegetation system, mapping and forecast, and mitigate climate and anthropogenic stressors impact on metropolitan Bucharest vegetation;

2) Provide early warning strategies for vegetation decrese;

3) Provide a better understanding of cause-effect-relationships between vegetation changes due to causative factors;

4) Develop a set of criteria and indices for restoration priorities and decision making options;

5) Identify significant carbon sink that can mitigate the rate of local and regional climate change and information on urban vegetation resources.
